Gavin Hellyer Soundwaves of great fascination. I'm very familiar with Broken Shoulder via their Audio Antihero days and the 2nd track in particular is a source of great enjoyment for me with what sounds like an extended organ piece. Overall though, excellent experimental work from both acts. Favorite track: Got an Arrow in Me Head.

dnbrw This is some of my favourite work from both Broken Shoulder & Opt Out. Side A wisps you away through the eye of a cotton ball into a busy street with pops and clicks that have seemingly predetermined and measured beauty. Side B is almost a universe parallel to its predecessor, beckoning your attention with a flock of automated seagulls cawing from their digital nests. A blurred vision in the window frame that you could have sworn you'd met once before, in the narrow corridors of the job centre.

about

Split release by Broken Shoulder and opt out.

Presented in two side format: Contact mic'd cat murmurs; optimistic drones burst by guitar shard shimmers; sinusoidal sonnets to soothe your sorrows; breathing space for busy morning train journeys.

Broken Shoulder is budget drone bastion Neil Debnam, based in Japan. He runs his own label, Kirigirisu Recordings:
